Project
I designed and developed a bespoke event commerce and management platform to support a distributed programme of events across 50+ locations nationwide.
The platform provides the complete operational journey from attendee booking and payment through to event management and arrival, replacing fragmented processes with a centralised system.
Attendees can book and pay through the public-facing platform, while individual hosts have their own management login to access their events, manage attendees and perform check-ins on the day.
Administrators have a separate management environment providing broader reporting, analytics and operational oversight across the entire event programme.
The platform is built as a lightweight bespoke PHP application rather than relying on a large SaaS event platform. Stripe handles payments, with the system managing the relationship between transactions, attendees, events and hosts.
Event management
Each host has access to their own event management environment, allowing them to:
- View registered attendees
- Manage their event
- Check attendees in
- Monitor attendance
- Access relevant event information
Administrators have a wider view across all events, with reporting and analytics designed to provide a clear picture of bookings, attendance and performance.
Commercial results
The platform has also become an important part of the client's commercial infrastructure.
